A brand new dark comedy has arisen from the ashes, like a Phoenix from the fire. Or a depressed pigeon has shat on your shoulder. Either way, Elly Tipping & John Berry have joined forces to write a play. What should you do about it? Complain? Take the dog for walk? Have a cup of tea? Or drive off beachy Head? Whatever your choice, make sure you go to Printers Playhouse first to watch some theatre. It’s about 4 Eastbournians who spend a thrilling and funny hour seeing if they can make the changes they need to their bonkers existence. Love, sex and drugs. It’s all in there, kinda.

When things get tough “FML” looks to explore and discuss some of our steepest challenges whilst thoroughly taking the piss. What’s not to like?

I saw FML by John Berry and Elly Tipping last night. Really excellent... sad and funny, often at the same time, hard hitting and gentle too. Excellent performances from all the cast, and I thought an outstanding performance particularly from Elly Tipping playing the character of Jane. lovely style and theatricality in the set as it evolved during the show too which I really like when it's done well. I did think there were a few (maybe five) words of dialogue that sounded slightly out of place that distracted me just a bit, but I'll easily forgive that! Also, there's one joke in there that’s worth seeing the play for just for itself alone. Excellently delivered by Sean Mclevy plaything Jim. Highly recommended from me. ~Rohan Van Twest

Just wanted to say well done for the production of FML. I thought your actors really served the play well. And there were some great performances. You must be very proud and it was great to see the piece realised in the space. Thoroughly enjoyed it as did everyone around me.  ~Phil Tong
